Structure

Caveglyph is written vertically top to bottom, and then left to right. Each complete thought is contained within a 'capsule', or a box of fixed width and variable height. Capsules follow one another in logical order. Closely connected capsules are attached with a single vertical bar.

THE STRUCTURE OF A CAPSULE

The primary idea of a capsule is written vertically in the center. This is called the pillar. Causes and reasons for the pillar are written across the top and right side in an upside-down L shape. Emotions and contexts for the capsule are identified with markers called 'houses'. A 'house' may denote the social context, historical context, emotional undertone, or any combination of these.

WRITING A FULL COMPOSITION

To write a full composition in Caveglpyh, simply draft a capsule for each complete thought and write them top to bottom, left to right in logical order. Though this basic design is always valid, advanced composition methods do exist. For example, capsules can be written around the circumference of an imaginary circle in a clockwise direction.
