Conjugating Verbs

Verb tense is expressed using a tense marker called a "halo" above the top-right corner of a word. Multiple halos can be combined, forming a "super-halo". A super-halo expresses one action taking place in different times or under separate conditions.

The subject of a verb is expressed with a subject marker directly beneath a word. This marker has yet to be named.

Commands

Commands are not expressed with a halo. Instead, they are expressed by connecting a right-facing triangle to the right side of a word. There is no specific location for this triangle, and it differs for every word. It can also be written multiple ways for the same word.

Expressing Being

Caveglyph has no explicit verb for existence or being. Instead, nouns and adjectives are inflected as verbs to denote being.

"[subject] is X" where X is a noun/adjective is written with a subject marker underneath X and a present tense halo to the top right of X. Other tenses follow the same pattern.

Clauses

There can be multiple clauses in a capsule. Some clauses are written in sub-capsules. Sub-capsules can have indications in the upper right corner for concepts like "but" or "if". They do not need a house.

Possession

If two nouns are linked by a black arc on the right side, the one on top possesses the one below.

Negation

The negative marker can be placed above any word or marker to invert its meaning.
